Vocabulary

Vikings
Viking refers to a member of the Norse (Scandinavian) seafaring traders, warriors and pirates who raided and colonized wide areas of Europe.

Odin is the God of Gods and humans. He is the god of wisdom and war.

Frigg
Frigg is the wife of Odin also know as the cloud spinner.

The Valkyries
The Valkyries are Odins daughters They are the choosers of slain, and hero selectors.

The Norns
The Norns are the fate maidens.

Thor
Thor was the warrior son, the strongest son of Odin.

Balder
Balder was known as the beloved son. Son of Odin and Frigg.

Njord
Njord is the God of wind and sea he is a patron of the sailors.

Frey
Frey is the God of fertility, prosperity, sun, and rain.

Freya
Freya was the daughter of Odin and Frigg she was the goddess of love and beauty.

Idunn
Idunn was Odins daughter in law she was the goddess of youth and the keeper of the golden apples.

Loki
Loki is a half blood god so he is half evil. He is known to be the evil trickster.

Fenrir
Son of Loki. He is a wolf and the beast of ragnarok.


Jormungandr
Jormungandr, a giant serpent from Norse mythology and one of the three children of Loki.

Ragnarok
Ragnarok is doomsday or the final battle

Runes
The sacred alphabet of the Norse peoples, it can be used to, among other things, discern information about a person's future.
